ECUADOR

Lin Zhuo Chen is a Chinese-Ecuadorian designer working at the intersection of interior design, architecture, and hospitality development. Her practice explores how spaces shape human experiences through materiality, movement, and the relationship between people and their surroundings.

With an MA in Interior Design from the Royal College of Art in London and a Master's in Global Hospitality Business from École hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) in Switzerland, Lin brings together spatial exploration and an understanding of the hospitality industry. This interdisciplinary background informs her approach to creating spaces that balance sensory experiences, cultural context, and operational considerations.

Her experience spans interior design at TP Bennett in London, hospitality consulting with Fairmont Hotels in Europe, and hotel development in China. Working across different disciplines and cultural contexts has shaped her understanding of how design, business, and the identity of a place influence one another.

Through Studio ZHUO, Lin translates these experiences into a practice grounded in experimentation and contextual storytelling. Each project becomes an opportunity to explore the character of a place and create thoughtful environments that connect people with their surroundings.
